The Macaroni is to challenge the common perception of silk, a sheer and delicate material, by finding ways to stiffen it yet not changing its main characteristics. It is a juxtaposition of 2-dimensional (printed collages) and 3-dimensional texture (pleating). The pleats add dynamics and exaggerate the digital printed patterns. The deformed mirrored stainless steel plate also provides new perception of a mirror. Being complementary with the illumination of the light, it is ready for some interesting selfies!
